The GBHS celebrates Emancipation Day, to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people of African descent. The event featured Afro-Tribal as they demonstrated traditional and modern African dance movements, an African dance and fire eating show by Shaka Zulu, a performance Kpass Drummers, art exhibits by Nicole Alexander & the “Art of Shar”, face painting by Lisa of Lawless Creative, DJ Emmitt and food by Desmond’s Original Authentic Jamaican Jerk.
