WHO ARE WE?
We are a group of youth committed to creating a living archive of Guelph’s
social history. Through collecting the remembered experiences of various
elderly residents, we hope to cultivate multi-generational relationships. This
connection will have a positive impact on the community through creating
accessible historical accounts.
WHO IS INVOLVED?
Through the sponsorship of the Guelph International Resource Centre (GIRC)
and Youth Services Canada (YSC) this project has been developed. Only through
the active participation of the community will it be able to reach its full
potential for the participants and the city.
GUELPH INTERNATIONAL RESOURCE CENTRE (GIRC)
The Guelph International Resource Centre is a community- based, non-profit
global education centre. GIRC promotes awareness, analysis, and action on
issues of social justice and global sustainability.
YOUTH SERVICE CANADA (YSC)
Youth Service Canada is a federal government initiative funded and directed by
Human Resources Development Canada. YSC champions the energy of youth
and their desire to make a difference in their communities and in themselves.
