Nick “Nicky Dread” Taylor passed away in March 2022. A native of Georgetown Guyana, Nick moved to Guelph to attend University in 1977. Nick loved reggae music and received many awards and accolades including Canadian Black Music Award for Top Radio Disk Jockey, a Certificate of Appreciation from the 4th International Reggae Music Awards, in Chicago, USA and he served as a judge for the Canadian Juno Reggae category. For over 40 years he hosted a reggae music show on CRFU Radio, including 3,700 broadcast hours. Nicky was beloved in our community, and he is missed. Rest In Power.
