Professor Jennifer Harris, an associate Professor of English Language and Literature at the University of Waterloo presented a talk, “From Paupers to Authors: Recovering the Lives of 19th Century Black Canadians” at the Heritage Hall on November 15, 2014. Professor Harris’ talk traced some of her work recuperating the lives and/or communities of select 19th Century Black Canadians.
