LOCATION: Guelph Civic: Main floor lobby, second floor temporary exhibition gallery and if
needed, staircase and landings and the third floor meeting room (perimeter)

VOLUNTEER CONTRIBUTIONS: Through community advisory committee and on designated
projects to be determined.


SCHEDULE A

Attached and forming part of the Agreement between the Museum and the Researcher made as of the 17th day of July, 1996.

PART 1

The Researcher shall perform the following duties, in relation to the production
of an exhibit and education programs of black history in, Guelph and Wellington County based on discussions with the Director and the Community Advisory Committee and with reference to the Canadian Images Project grant application of February of 1996 and in accordance with the time deadlines specified below:

  1. Conduct all travel and research necessary to perform the Services.
  2. Coordinates meetings of the community advisory committee, including agenda
    preparation and notification of meeting.
  3. a) Prepare a preliminary outline of the exhibition to the Museum
    Representative no later than September 20, 1996. b) The
    Museum may furnish the Researcher with a list of specific
    requests for revisions at which time the Researcher shall have 5
    days in which to make said revisions.
  4. a) Prepare a list of artifacts that are available to be included in the
    Exhibit and submit the list to the Museum Representative by
    October 31, 1996. b) The Museum may furnish the Researcher
    with a list of specific requests for revisions at which time the
    Researcher shall have 5 days in which to make said revisions. c)
    Prepare a final list of the contents of the Exhibit, including
    names, dates, lender’s names and addresses, and preferred
    method of shipment and submit the list to the Museum
    Representative by November 10, 1996.
  5. a) Prepare a draft copy of the didactive panels and labels for objects and
    photographs in the Exhibit and submit draft copy to the Museum
    Representative by November 22, 1996. b) The Museum Representative
    may furnish the Researcher with a list of specific requests for format and
    content revisions at which time the Researcher shall have 5 days in which to make the said revisions. c) Submit final copy in English for the didactic panels and labels to the Museum by December 2, 1997.
  6. a) Prepare draft Education program manuscripts and submit the draft tex to the Museum Representative by December 9, 1996. b) The Museum ma furnish the Researcher with a list of specific requests for content and format revisions at which time the Researcher shall have 5 days in which to make the said revisions. c) Prepare complete Education program manuscripts, including a list of education related objects (reproduction and surplus), photographs and acknowledgements and submit such by January 6, 1996.
  7. In conjunction with the Museum Representative, consult on the installation of the Exhibit at the Guelph Civic Museum from January 6, 1997.
  8. Throughout the above, work in collaboration with the Web site designer.
